  1. “Urgent: Your account has been compromised!” – from an email I never signed up for.
  2. “You’ve won $1,000,000!” – just need to pay $500 processing fee first.
  3. “Enlarge your… inbox storage” – the only enlargement spam I don’t want.
  4. “Single moms in your area” – I’m a married man living on a military base.
  5. Nigerian prince offering me millions – if only I had $10,000 to help him first.
  6. “Your car warranty is expiring” – on the 2003 Honda I sold in 2010.
  7. “Click here to claim your prize!” – the prize is always more spam.
  8. “Your Apple ID has been locked” – sent to my Android phone.
  9. “You have 37 unread messages” – all from the same spammer.
  10. “Your package delivery failed” – I haven’t ordered anything in months.
  11. “Your Netflix account is suspended” – joke’s on them, I use my ex’s password.
  12. “Your social security number is compromised” – from email address “totallylegit@gov.ru”.
  13. “Your boss needs gift cards urgently” – I’m self-employed.
  14. “Your password has been leaked” – in an email with my actual password in the subject line.
  15. “Your account will be deleted” – for a service I’ve never heard of.
